ABOUT VOTER REGISTRATION IN MONROE COUNTY

Whether you're a first-time voter, recently moved, or just unsure of your registration status, now is the time to get ready. Voting impacts everything from how we protect green space to which schools get funded. Local elections matter—and your voice matters even more.

In Monroe County, registering to vote is fast, easy, and essential. You can register online, by mail, in person, or through the DMV. Already registered? Double-check your info so nothing gets in your way on Election Day.

WHO CAN REGISTER TO VOTE

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (you may pre-register at 16 or 17)

  • Be a U.S. citizen

  • Have lived in Monroe County for at least 30 days before the election

  • Not be in prison for a felony conviction

  • Not be registered to vote elsewhere

  • Not have been declared incompetent by a court
